New Heaven and Earth

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth..." - Revelation 21

We are gathered for this lecture today on Saturday the 13th, which is a special day for students of the Gnostic tradition, because it has important symbolic and practical significance.

The word Saturday comes from the word Saturn (“Saturn-day”), which is the name of a God who was known by the Greeks as Κρόνος, Kronos, Cronus. Saturn / Cronus is the God of time, the God of endings, the God of death. We think this is very negative, but in fact, Saturn represents something we very much need.

Saturnus cronus

Cronus / Saturn

"Kronos, since he was the eldest of the Titanes, became king and caused all men who were his subjects to change from a rude way of living to civilized life, and for this reason he received great approbation and visited many regions of the inhabited earth. Among all he met he introduced justice and sincerity of the soul, and this is why the tradition has come down to later generations that he men of Kronos’ time were good-hearted, altogether guileless, and blest with felicity. His kingdom was strongest in the western regions, where indeed he enjoyed his greatest honour; consequently, down even to comparatively recent times, among the Romans [called by them Saturnus] and the Carthaginians [elsewhere the author mentions elsewhere that the Carthaginians sacrificed children to the god], while their city still stood, and other neighbouring peoples, notable festivals and sacrifices were celebrated in honour of this god and many places bore his name. And because of the exceptional obedience to laws no injustice was committed by any one at nay time and all the subjects of the rule of Kronos lived a life of blessedness, in the unhindered enjoyment of every pleasure. To this the poet Hesiod also bears witness in the following words: ‘And they who were Kronos’ day, what time he reigned in heaven, lived like gods, no care in heart, remote and free from ills and toils severe, from grievous sicknesses and cares; old age lay not upon their limbs, but they, equal in strength of leg and arm, enjoyed endless delight of feasting far from ills, and when death came, they sank in it as in a sleep. And many other things were theirs; grain-giving earth, unploughed, bore for them fruit abundantly and without stint; and glad of heart they dwelt upon their tilth throughout the earth, in midst of blessing manifold, rich in their flocks, loved by the blessed gods.’ This then, is what the myths have to say about Kronos." - Diodorus Siculus, Library of History (1st century BC)

In the structure of the esoteric, stellar studies of astronomy or astrology, Saturn is the seventh of the seven primary planets that represent the seven forces organizing manifested things. The Moon is the first of the seven, and begins, conceives, and originates; Saturn closes, ends, and prepares for the new beginning.

Saturn and the Moon

That is why we have this tradition that is close to forgotten nowadays, that was remembered at the new year, of the old man of time representing the old year, depicted as an old man with a beard, accompanied by a young baby who is bringing in the new year. Those symbols come from the esoteric tradition, and represent the Moon and Saturn.

seven-planets-angels

The Moon, the first of the seven, initiates, begins. It is conception, newness, the coming of a new age.

The old man Saturn represents the passing away of that which was.

Saturday is the day of Saturn, the day in which we remember and reflect on the week, on the time that has just passed, in order to extract wisdom from the experience. This is why Saturn is "a wise old man," one who learns from experience.

In Hebrew, Saturday is called שבת Shabbat (Sabbath), which obviously is related to the Hebrew name of Saturn, שבתאי. Literally, שבת Shabbat (Sabbath) means “ceasing,” and it is Saturn that brings the “ceasing” or ending of things.

Saturday the 13th in the Gnostic tradition, Mem and Melchisedec

Moreover, today is Saturday the thirteenth, and thirteen also has special significance because in the Hebrew alphabet thirteen is the letter מ mem.

The Hebrew letter מ Mem represents the waters, but it also represents change, death, a great transformation, and this is why we find the letter מ Mem in very important words throughout the tradition of Kabbalah, such as Malkuth, Mavet, maadim, Moses, and Melchisedec.

On Saturday the thirteenth, students of Gnosis perform a special exercise in recognition of these symbols, in which, at the thirteenth hour (מ), which is from 12pm to 1pm, the Gnostic student enters into a practice of meditation, lying down in the form of a pentagonal star, a pentagram, with the arms and legs spread like a star in order to pray, to invoke, and beg for the assistance of Melchisedec.

This word מלכי־צדק Melchisedec has central importance in the Jewish and Christian traditions, and should have importance for everyone on this planet. The word Melchisedec appears throughout the Jewish and Christian scriptures, but is a very poorly understood symbol and person.

As we have explained in many lectures and throughout the books of Samael Aun Weor, the prophets and apostles are both real people and symbols of factors, elements, or archetypes within us; Melchisedec is no exception. Melchisedec is particularly important because of his true identity, which has been controversial in religion for thousands of years and is still unresolved because the traditions nowadays have lost the esoteric heart. They no longer know the roots of their own tradition. Those roots are in Melchisedec.

In relation to Abraham and Aaron

If you study Christianity, if you come from a Christian background, you probably have the assumption that the Unction - the Eucharist, the sacrament of bread and wine [Eucharist: Spiritual Strength Through Blessed Food and Drink] - was originated by Jesus Christ, but this is not accurate. If you study the Bible you will find the one who first showed humanity the use of bread and wine was Melchisedec, all the way back in the book of Genesis.

melchizedec

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth...” - Genesis 14

Melchisedec was a high priest, who blessed Abram.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all consider Abram / Abraham to be their great Patriarch, to be the father of these religions, and yet he bowed before Melchisedec. He asked for the blessings of Melchisedec. So Abram/ Abraham was below Melchisedec. This is very significant. It shows to us that much of what we inherited is not accurate, it terms of our theories and beliefs and ideas about our religions.

Amongst the Jewish tradition there has been a bit of disquiet for thousands of years because it is stated in that tradition that the priesthood, the Cohen, originated with Aaron, and that he was the father or the originator of the priesthood amongst the Jewish tradition, when in fact Aaron comes after Melchisedec. Melchisedec appeared far before Aaron, and Melchisedec is described as a high priest. Many Rabbis have struggled to explain how it is that Aaron is supposedly the originator of the priesthood, when in fact Melchisedec was there long before. What this tells us is that what the traditional religious authorities theorise about the origins of their religions is wrong. What we find in truth, even in the scriptures themselves, is that all religions are much older than we think, and they originate from a place we have forgotten.

Religions have a primeval root that is far more ancient than our memory. The primeval root of all of our religions is much older than any of our written scriptures, it is much older than any of our theories, it is much older than any artifact on this planet. To find the root of those religions is no simple task. But we have a great hint, a great clue, and it is in the Bible: Melchisedec.

Melchisedec was already a high priest before he blessed Abram, who later originated the great traditions Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

We explained about Melchisedec in the course “The Sacraments of the Gnostic Church‚” in which you can study about Melchisedec and the Unction that he originated.

What is important for us to understand now is not the person, the man, the master Melchisedec, but the symbol he represents, and what he is related to.

Melchisedec as an Archetype

Melchisedec represents an archetype, just as do Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Mohamed. They are archetypes of psychological and spiritual values within us that we have to develop.

The name Melchisedec is a title, just as Yeshua Christos and Buddha Shakyamuni are titles. These are not personal names. They are honorific terms that describe a quality or level of attainment.

The name Melchisedec is Hebrew: מלכי–צדק. The first part is מלכי meleck or Malkhi which means “king, ruler.” The second part is צדק tzedek, “righteous, honest, just, fair.” We have given lectures about the tzadiks, “the righteous ones.” Thus the name Melchisedec means “King of Righteousness, King of Justice, King of the Law.” Interestingly, צדק tzedek is also the Hebrew name of the planet Jupiter, the regent or kingly planet.

Melchisedec represents a great archetype, a spiritual, psychological archetype, related with justice, righteousness, the law, not as a form of punishment, but as elevated principle, a form that reflects the beauty of the law, that reflects the purity of Christ.

What is interesting about him as a symbol, is that even in The New Testament, Jesus became a high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

“...Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” - Hebrews 6

In other words, Jesus-who we know is a great Saviour, Avatar, and Master-attained that under the guidance, leadership, and authority of Melchisedec. This is a very shocking thing that the modern Christians find scandalous, and try to explain away with lots of theories, saying that Melchisedec and Jesus are the same one, etc. but the fact is that Melchisedec is both a great master related with this planet, and also represents an Archetype, a principle related with Christ, related with the superior aspects of nature, the law itself we can call Karma, cause and effect. The basic fundamental principle upon which existence depends is cause and effect. Melchisedec represents that, and is also one who has perfected it, that lives and acts and breathes in harmony with the law.

Life and Death

The Thirteenth Arcanum of the TarotThe name מלכי–צדק Melchisedec begins with the Hebrew letter מ mem, which is the thirteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Mem מ relates with water and death; if you have studied the Arcana of the Tarot, then you know that the Thirteenth Arcanum is Immortality, or Death. Great change is represented in this image. The Thirteenth Arcanum depicts a reaper standing on the Earth with his threshing tool, his scythe, in order to slice down the wheat, and from that process of the plants dying, from their deaths emerges new life, new flowers. And this is the great fundamental axis of nature: life and death, which are the forces of the Moon and Saturn.

What we can see then, even in the very shape of the letter מ Mem, is a great cycle. Life and death. The number thirteen represents that.

Life and death are the normal function of nature. This planet is sustained upon this principle of Life and death. It is an inescapable law; it is the law throughout all the levels of nature: whatever is born must also die. We do not comprehend that, we do not have cognizance of this fact, because we persist in the notion that somehow we can cheat death, that somehow we can escape it. We ignorantly believe that somehow we can manage to fulfill our desires and avoid death. We are very persistent in our avoidance of death, and the topic of death, at least as far as it is concerned with ourselves and our interests.

Nonetheless, the Arcanum Thirteen, the letter מ Mem, represents this fundamental principle in nature, and that is why it is the first letter of the name Melchisedec as the King of Righteousness, the King of Justice: he is a Lord of Death, related with Saturn. This has specific importance for us, and that is why on any Saturday (“saturn-day”) the thirteenth, the Gnostics perform a meditation practice: to meditate and to entreat Melchisedec for assistance, and there is a specific reason why we do this.

Celestial Traffic

Melchisedec is a great Master, someone who is very mysterious, but oddly should not be so unknown to us, because as we have described to you in other lectures, every very high master reaches a level where they become a Logos or Cosmocreator, long after they transcend the level of intellectual animal, and the regular human being, and become Supermen or Logos. What this means is that the master has become a Cosmocreator, transcending the limitations of a mere humanoid body, and is now capable of originating new levels of physical bodies. Every star, every planet, every solar system, is the body of a master. When we look at the heavens we see the celestial traffic, we are seeing the bodies of very elevated, conscious beings, who within their organism sustain the lives of billions of others, and that is how they manifest the law of Christ, which is sacrifice. They give of themselves in order to aid others to rise also. We are tiny reflections of that; billions of monads depend upon us, live within us, but we ignore them, even destroy then with our bad habits.

All of the planets, all of the suns, all of the solar systems, and galaxies are the bodies or creations of conscious beings. We already know from mere terrestrial physics that light has consciousness, that light makes choices. That light is only an expression of a sun, of a star. It is the light of Christ expressing itself out the body of that master.

Our Sun Ors, the centre of our solar system, is a body of Michael, a great angel, and in that light that gives life to our solar system you see his resplendent nature. The solar light emerges from him, from his heart, and likewise with every planet in our system. Mars is the body of Samael, the Logos. Jupiter and Saturn, Mercury, Venus, all of these planets are the bodies of Angels, the bodies of masters.

Earth is no exception. This body of Earth is not inert matter. It is not just an aggregation of rocks, it is a living, breathing organism: it is alive. We only have life because the Earth lives. If the Earth dies, we die.

A Skeleton in the Sky

Let us look at the Moon. We have this mistaken notion that the Moon is younger than the Earth, but tests have shown that the samples that come from the Moon are much older than the Earth. The scientists have been scrambling for years to understand why, and invented hundreds of theories. All the while the natives, the indigenous people, the traditional cultures, have known the truth. They call the Moon “the Mother of the Earth.” They call the Moon our “Grandmother.” This is a very significant statement.

Visualize our planet Earth and upon it all the billions of humanoids, and floating in space is the Moon. If the Moon is the Grandmother of us, the Mother of the Earth, Melchisedec is our “Mother,” who is nourishing the birth of new Earths, which are us. This is why in all the ancient traditions there is always this discussion of the Philosophical Earth, called ארץ erets in Hebrew. What is that? It is you, it is me. The ancient occult axiom states:

“As above, so below.”

What we know of as the physical Earth is the Macrocosm, that which is above, that which we come from. We emerge from that. We are the Microcosm, the small Earth, and this is why in Kabbalah, Malkuth, which is the lowest Sephirah on the Tree, represents Earth, physicality.

kabbalah-the-tree-of-life

Malkuth means “kingdom‚” and represents not only the physical Earth and all our kingdoms on the planet, but our own Earth, our “kingdom,” our body, not only physical, but psychological and spiritual. This is our Adam, our Earth.

The Moon was once a world like our Earth. The Moon was called Selene. It was once a living place, in a past humanity, another living age, in a past cosmic round. But that humanity, unfortunately, degenerated. They fell victim to desire. They did not have the capacity to transform themselves and to rise up, so their planet died, and that is what we see in our heavens now: a dead world. Lifeless, a corpse, a bone. Have you ever seen a bone? It is pale, it is dry, it is dead; that is the state of the Moon. It is a skeleton in the sky.

moon

When that world died, its essence, its core attributes, gave rise to a new world: our planet Earth. This occurred over countless eons, a time-span that would be inconceivable to us.

That new Earth, our planet, went through many ages, many races, many times of development, many civilizations. We are not the only one. We are one in a long chain, but unfortunately, we also are degenerating, like the Selenites did. We are not conquering desire, we are not able to sacrifice and rise up, instead we are sinking into the mud. The evidence is abundant everywhere. What do we see on our planet related with virtue, related with qualities of spirit? We do not see a civilization that is improving, that is rising towards the light. We see a civilization that is trembling, that is shuddering in pain.

We need to observe the intimate relationship between the humanoid creatures on the surface of the world and the world that they inhabit. The macrocosm and microcosm are intimately related. Nature is in us, as much as we are in nature. We do not like that. Somehow, inexplicably, we now have come to a stage in our civilization where we want to be divorced from nature. We scarcely touch nature anymore. We walk on artificial surfaces. We clothe and cover our bodies with artificial coverings. We scarcely touch the dirt, the soil, grass. We scarcely see the sky. We have become divorced from our Mother. Somehow we think we are separate from nature, that somehow we are masters, Kings and Queens of nature, when the evidence is clearly opposite. We are just victims of circumstances. We have no control, not only of ourselves, but of Nature around us. We are very weak. Even though we believe we are the most elevated civilization ever, the evidence is the opposite.

Worldwide Vulnerability

Let us observe this civilization. What does it have to offer? Perpetual war, increasing poverty, and slavery, a rapid decline in the availability of pure water and real food. Nowadays, you cannot go to any market and buy pure, clean, unmodified food. For example, try to find an actual tomato. It is very difficult to find a tomato that tastes like a tomato and is filled with the original vital essence of a pure tomato. In every market, the fruits and vegetables have been heavily modified, including being modified with animal hormones and genes. So, that “fruit” you eat is not a fruit, it is not a vegetable, it is a hybrid, an abomination.

What about the rest of our food supply? The world depends on several primary crops: wheat, corn, soy, rice. None of these are the same foods our grandparents ate. Every one of them now has been patented by a corporation.

Now, in many countries, a farmer cannot grow the crop that they choose, they have to get permission from a corporation, and they have to pay a fee to the corporation that owns the patent. You might think I am making this up, but I am not. This is a fact that is happening not only in North America but it is spreading around the world. Corporations now control the worlds food supply: for profit and power.

Every major crop is no longer a diversity of seeds, a diversity of fruits or vegetables or grains. Most of the worlds crops of wheat, corn, soy and rice come from a single modified seed each, which has been modified by scientists. This means that any worldwide crop could be wiped out by only one disease. In the past we had a great diversity of wheat varieties, corn varieties, soy varieties, and a disease could come and maybe wipe out a few crops in a few areas and there would be a minor famine, but no longer is this the case.

Right now, there is a wheat rust that is spreading from Africa to the Middle East that the scientists are not able to control, and within a few years, it will probably produce a famine. It could spread worldwide, and there is no antidote. It is killing the crop that they engineered. (See: Rust Never Sleeps)

This danger is not just in one crop, it is in every one of these crops; all of them. All of our fruits, all of our vegetables are in danger of this type of situation. This is why the scriptures predict famines, the spread of starvation.

What about our water? We cannot go to any river and drink the water. We cannot find a stream that we can drink from, almost anywhere in the world, even in the countryside, even in the mountains. The waters are impure on the whole planet. We now have the worst water supply in our history.

What about our air? It is impure, everywhere in the world. Air is not isolated to one place, it moves around the planet and it is carrying with it all kinds of impurities and pollutants and radioactive materials all over the planet.

What about inside the Earth? What about the Earth itself? The soils everywhere are being depleted. Now, in order to grow crops in most places in the world, you have to pump the ground with chemicals, otherwise the Earth cannot sustain growth, they have been depleted, they have been poisoned. So companies have to pump tremendous amounts of chemicals and fertilizers in order to grow anything. And of course, what is grown there also absorbs and carries all the chemicals into our bodies.

Our oceans are dying. The forests are dying. The Earth is trembling. All of us are aware in recent days of a surge of earthquakes and many people are afraid. Many people are dying. If you study the records the scientists are keeping, you see an earthquake every few days, with increasing frequency. We see that in the 1990s we averaged fifty to sixty major earthquakes a year, and by 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, we are over 1000 per year.

Prophecy of Melchisedec

Why is this?

Let me ask you a question: If you were to see a person covered with disease, sick, dying, shaking with convolutions, what would you think would happen to him? What would you assume is going to happen? You would assume he is going to die. That is what is happening to our planet, our planet is dying, no one wants to admit it, but the evidence is abundant.

Melchisedec himself said something about his body, this planet Earth. Melchisedec gave this prophecy in Tibet.

“Men (or better said, rational mammals) will gradually forget their souls to only take care of their bodies. The greatest corruption will reign on earth.

“Men will resemble ferocious beasts, thirsty for their brothers’ blood.

“The half moon will darken and its adepts will fall in perpetual war. The greatest misfortunes will fall upon them and they will fight each other.

“The crowns of the kings, great and small, will fall; one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. A terrible war among all peoples will break out.

“The oceans will roar. The earth and the bottoms of the seas will be covered in bones.

“Kingdoms will disappear, entire populations will die... Famine, disease, crimes not covered by the laws, never seen, neither dreamed of by men...

“Then, the enemies of God and the Divine Spirit that lie in man himself will come. Those who raise their hands against others will perish as well.

“The forgotten and the persecuted will rise later; they will be the center of the attention of the whole world.

“There will be thick darkness, horrible storms. Mountains, until then arid, will be covered with forests.

“Earth will be shaken. Millions of men will exchange the chains of slavery and humiliations for hunger, pestilence, and death.

“Roads will be crowded with people, walking randomly from one place to another.

“The greatest, the most beautiful cities, will disappear in fire... One, two, three. Out of ten thousand men, one will survive, and he will be naked, deprived of reason, and lacking strength to build a shelter or find food. And these surviving men will bark like mad wolves, they will devour corpses and bite their own flesh, and they will challenge God for combat.

“Earth will be deserted, and even God will leave... Only death and night will be on the empty Earth.

“Then I will send a group of people (the World Salvation Army), until then unknown, who, with strong hands, will remove the weeds from the cultivating field of vice, and will lead the few faithful to the Spirit of man in the battle against evil.

“They will found a new life on Earth, purified by the death of nations.” [Quoted by Samael Aun Weor in Kabbalah of the Mayan Mysteries]

The Ego and the Divine Can Never Mix

This is very grim news, but not new. We have received warnings for thousands of years about a coming change, about a great transformation in nature. Every religion has prophecies about a death and new birth. The Bible is filled with references to a coming cataclysm brought about by fire.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

“And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God...” - Revelation 21

Every religion has stated that that transformation is necessary in order for a new Earth, a new heaven to be born. And this is why we read in the book of Peter,

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

“[Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,

“Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness [צדק tzedek].

“Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.” - 2 Peter 3

We need to understand that this applies also to both the macrocosm and the microcosm. Our Earth, our planet, is a living entity like any other: it was born, it will die. No one knows the hour, no one knows the day. There are many prophecies and many symbols, but no one knows the final moment.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” - Jesus, in Matthew 24

Nonetheless it is undeniable that our planet is passing through a great transformation, and that it is accelerating. We can see it everywhere. Much of what I read in that prophecy is already happening. We can see it, we know it, we can feel it, but this description of the end, the death, but it is not merely referring to the physical planet Earth, it is referring to our physical body, to our own Earth.

We are an Earth in microcosm, we are the womb of a great spirit, a Buddha, an angel who has not yet been developed. Our duty is to develop that, to reach liberation, to awaken our consciousness, and that is only possible through a great transformation, through a great death.

Anytime, anywhere in nature that a being wants ascend to a higher level, everything of the former level has to die. When you became an adult, everything in you of a child had to die. If you want to become an angel, a master, everything in you that is impure, that does not belong in heaven, has to die. There is no exception to that.

You cannot take your pride, your lust, your envy, your fear to heaven. It cannot go there, it is impossible. The ego and the divine can never mix.

To reach a new level, there has to be a death.

“In order to pass to a superior Level of Being, it is necessary to cease being what one is. We need to not be what we are.

“If we continue being what we are, we will never pass to a superior Level of Being.” - Samael Aun Weor, Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology

We see this in nature. In simple evolution, in natural selection, when we observe the growth process in any species, in order for that species to improve, to become more resilient, to become stronger, the old parts die and new ones are born, and with each birth there is a change.

With each new generation, there is a transformation, there is a change, a transformation, but that transformation depends on death, birth, death, birth, death, birth.

We want to achieve spiritual birth, the second birth, to be born in heaven, to have immortality. This is a law of nature, it exists: there are immortals. There have always been immortals and there will always be, but they are not like us, they are not animals. We are animals, we are animals with intellect, but we are not human beings.

A human being has destroyed the animal in himself, and become truly human, and for that that animal aspect has to die, and we see this everywhere in nature. When the plant gives off seeds, those seeds emerge and the old plant dies and the new plants rise, with the changes, and that change again is propagated. The plant dies in order for the new one to rise. The seed always dies.

We are a seed. We are an embryo. In Sanskrit, we are Tathagatagarbha, the Buddha nature, the embryo of a Buddha, Buddhadatu. We are an embryo. For us to ascend to a new level, everything of our old way has to die; everything. The only things that are retained are that which belong above. Only that which belongs above can go there, and this has to do with many laws in nature.

Our Cosmos

Our physical body is a highly sophisticated order, and in Greek the word order is kosmos.

  • κόσμος (kosmos): an orderly system

Our body is an orderly system, a world in miniature. It is a very sophisticated system or sequence that is sustained through sacrifice and transformation.

Every day we have to transform this body in order to keep it alive. That transformation, that sacrifice, occurs in three levels.

At the bottommost level we need food and water; without food and water we will die. We can last a few days, more or less without them.

The second level is air. We cannot live without air, even for a few seconds, or maybe a few minutes.

The third level relates to impressions. What are impressions? Information, perception, it is the functioning of the consciousness. We cannot live without receiving impressions.

These three aspects keeps us alive. These three levels are like the floors of a factory. That factory is us, physically, psychologically, spiritually. We are sustained, we are kept moving, through a continual process of transformation in these three levels of our inner factory. We continually must eat and drink. We continually must breathe and we must continually take in information.

We all recognize that we have the longing, the hunger for food and thirst for water. Unfortunately that hunger, that thirst, has become corrupted. We no longer crave the pure elements that will naturally sustain us in the healthiest way possible, now we want junk food. We want to eat garbage. Many people on this planet now will not eat food unless it came out of a box; they will not eat natural food; many will not eat a vegetable, especially if it is raw (like a carrot or a salad). The same is happening with water: many people will not even drink water, they will only drink soda or alcohol, which are poison. There is no sustenance in them, there is nothing nourishing in soda or alcohol, but these are the most commonly consumed liquids. There is no food in them, but only chemicals, poison, that are proven to kill the body and the mind.

We cannot go without breathing; we naturally take in the breath. But many of us now are addicted to adding poisons to the breath through smoking. Many are addicted to the vapors of pollution; they only want to be in the city, and if you take them to the country, they become very uncomfortable and want to go back to their polluted air.

Our body naturally transforms these elements of food, water, and air. Those elements are brought into us and they are destroyed. They die; the animal dies, and we are nourished. The plant dies, and we are nourished. The grain dies, the mineral dies, the water dies, the air dies. All of these processes that happen in the body are transformations of fire. The fire of the body takes those elements, transforms them, reduces them, boils them down, obliterates them, takes what is needed, and throws away the rest. This is why the body excretes waste products, the lungs excrete waste gases, through our exhalation.

But on the third level of our temple, of our own earth, the impressions are different. We do not realize that impressions are actually our greatest hunger, our greatest need. Have you not noticed how you become very hungry to read, you become very hungry to watch television, to look at pictures, to listen to conversation, to see a friend, to see nature, to see pornography? That is a hunger, it is psychological and spiritual, but unfortunately just the same as our other forms of our nourishment; our hunger for impressions has also become corrupted.

Some of us hopefully still have the longing to be nourished by the impressions of the divine, and this is why we study spirituality. Our consciousness, our Buddhadatu, still has the hunger to be nourished by God. To be nourished with pure food, what in The Bible is called לחם lechem, “bread from heaven‚” or Manna [מן man] which incidentally is that Eucharist that Melchisedek gave to us.

“And Melchizedek, king of peace, brought forth לחם lechem [bread] and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high אל El.” - Genesis 14

Some of us still have that longing for nourishment from the divine, but most people do not. What most people on this planet want for their nourishment, impressions, to nourish their soul and psyche, is violence. They want to watch the latest Hollywood movies, they want to watch all the crime shows and see all the dead bodies and the blood and the ways to kill. They want to play violent video games, they want to watch violent sports, they want to play violent sports, they want pornography, they want lust, greed, envy, gluttony, fear. Most of what we take in, through impressions, is negative and we hunger for that. We go on the internet to study conspiracy theories, to fill ourselves with fear, because we love the feeling. We love sensations that are negative, to feel afraid to feel proud, to feel vengeful, to feel angry, to feel resentful, to feel lust, this is how corrupted our mind has become.

Unfortunately, there is no instinctive, automatic process to transform all that information that comes in through impressions, and thus we have physiological constipation. This is why when we try to meditate, try to see into our mind, it is a complete disaster.

Transformation of Impressions

We cannot sit still, we cannot relax, we cannot have a moment without thoughts, because our mind is over stuffed with garbage.

How old are you now? Imagine if in your house, you never took out the trash, ever: what would your house be like? You would not be able to move. Your mind is like that. When you look into your mind, you cannot move. There is no freedom, no peace, there is only the stench of attachments, the stench of desires, of grasping at things that are not real, grasping at desires. That is what our minds have become: poisoned with all of these elements that we have sought in desire, and accumulated in our minds and hold onto as if they are precious, when really, they are garbage.

Our mind is a mess because we have never taken out our psychological trash. Instead, everything we have ever perceived is stuffed into the mind, untransformed, undigested, corrupt and rotting.

What should be happening is that we should be continually vigilant to what we perceive, and transforming that perception from moment to moment. Our consciousness should be activated, awake, aware, observant. In that awakened state, we take in impressions, we destroy them, we extract from them what is necessary for the consciousness to grow, and we throw away the rest. This is called mindfulness, self-observation, self-remembering: to be awake. Samael Aun Weor called this the “Transformation of Impressions.” Through that process, the mind empties naturally, not through force, it is natural. The impressions come in then go out; they leave not a trace, only wisdom, only comprehension, only understanding. The mind then becomes what is should be, its natural state, which is perfectly serene, happy, joyful and capable of reflecting the entire universe.

This is the teaching of Saturn / Cronus: death / transformation brings wisdom, if we learn from it. Wisdom arrives only through comprehension of our experience. If we do not reflect upon what has happened to us, we learn nothing. Wisdom does not emerge automatically.

Earth is the Body, Heaven is the Mind

We are in nature, and nature is in us. Our state determines the state of nature.

The mind that we have, in Greek or Hebrew terms, is called “heaven.”

“In the beginning God created the שמים shamayim [heaven] and the ארץ erets [earth].” - Genesis 1:1

“Earth” is the body, “Heaven” is the mind. But our “Heaven” has become a Hell. That is why The Bible says,

“Heaven and earth shall pass away...” - Jesus, in Matthew 24

I do not think that the fundamentalist Christians realize that the Bible says that the heavens will pass away, but they think they are all going there. From the point of view of their beliefs, this does not make sense, but it makes sense when you understand what the root word heaven means; in Hebrew, it is Shamayim. The very first line of Genesis says,

“In the beginning God created the שמים shamayim [heaven] and the ארץ erets [earth].” - Genesis 1:1

From our point of view, God created the Earth, the body, and the heavens, the mind.

That word Shamayim in Greek is Ouranos, or more commonly now, Uranus, which means “sky, heaven,” and when you study the Greek Cosmogony or Theogony, the Genesis of the Greeks. You find that it is actually the same as the Judeo Christian, because it states, in whichever version you read whether from Hesiod or Aristophanes, that basically the same process occurs.

“And Gaia first bare starry Ouranos (Heaven), equal to herself, to cover her on every side, and to be an ever-sure abiding-place for the blessed gods...” - Hesiod, Theogony 126

From the emptiness, from the sky, from the night, from the darkness emerge the Earth, Gaia. From herself, Gaia produced Oranos, and they were husband and wife, Adam and Eve, two aspects of ourselves. We have explained in many lectures that one of the symbols of Adam and Eve relates to our microcosm; in this case, Adam represents the brain, and Eve represents our sexuality, the body. This is identical to Ouranos (brain) and Gaia (body).

adam-and-eve

What is stated there in all the Cosmogonies that we can study, is that from within our earth, heaven is created, in other words, our Buddhadatu, our Inner Buddha emerges from us. On another level Christ is born in the manger, the saviour, the manger is our mind. So you see these levels, how the purity rises from the impurity, the lotus rises in the impure waters. In other words, hope is not lost.

The Revelation

When this Earth dies, a new Earth will come. It explains in the book of Revelation, what will happen. Now remember we are not talking only about the physical Earth, we are talking about our Earth. This is the very end of the Book of Revelation, the Apocalypse:

new-jerusalem-tapestry

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” - Revelation 21

When you have studied Kabbalah, this passage is explicitly clear, but without that knowledge, it just sounds like a morbid warning about the future. But in fact, these are the instructions for any of us to create a new earth so we can rise to heaven. What is explained here is that what is pure rises and what is impure sinks. Naturally, this does apply to our physical planet and our humanity on it. But more importantly, it applies to ourselves individually, our own Inner Earth. In other words, in our mind, we have what we call the ego, or more appropriately, egos, that multiplicity of discursive desires, fears, anger; all those battling elements that seek to control us and feed themselves through us. That is all within our mind, trying to use our earth to nourish themselves, and that is “the fearful, the unbelieving, the murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and liars.” Those are not outside of us, they are inside.

If you observe yourself, sincerely, you will see your whoremongers inside, you will see your liars, your murderers; they are your egos, your desires, resentments, all of those elements that Jesus called “Legion.”

Those multiple elements or defects exist in our psyche, and feed themselves on the impressions that we take in. Those urges, those desires we feel to eat and drink bad things, to smoke and thus breathe in bad things, and to take in negative impressions, are because the egos are controlling us.

We have to become cognizant and in control of our own kingdom. We are not kings and queens of our own inner nature, we are victims of circumstances. We have to become like Melchisedek: a king, a queen. In other words, we have to become Malechim, Kings of the Earth—not the outside Earth, but our Earth, our body, our mind, and in this way we will receive help from our Innermost.

Psalm of David

It is stated in the Bible (I have a lot of quotes today), in the Psalm of David 110:

“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”

On this passage we should pause and contemplate. “The Lord said to my Lord...” This is a very enigmatic phrase. The Jews and Christians always say there is a single God, but this passage is saying otherwise, “the Lord said to my Lord.” In Hebrew it says,

“Iod-Havah יהוה said unto אדני Adonai, Sit thou at my right hand...”

Iod-Havah is a very deep and meaningful word in Hebrew. It is the four letter name of God (the Tetragrammaton), which most people translate as Yahweh, Jahve, or Jehovah. It has many meanings and uses. Primarily, it relates to the upper trinity on the Tree of Life.

Adonai means “Lord,” and is another name of God. Adonai is the name of God related to the sephirah Malkuth.

“...sit thou at my right hand...”

kabbalah-the-tree-of-lifeAt the right-hand of the Tree of Life is the right column, the column of mercy, of Tob or goodness, and the center of gravity of this column is in Chesed, the axis of our Monad, our inner Spirit, our personal divine Father, our inner spirit, who is an extension of his being Iod-Havah. In other words, above is Osiris-Ra, the trinity at the top of the Tree of Life (in Atziluth). To create, they form the union of Osiris and Isis, Father-Mother. Their Son is Horus, which in Hebrew is Chesed. This forms a second Trinity (in Briah), so this is how we see the Universal Father saying to the individual Father, “Sit at my right hand,” which is Chesed, and he will make the enemies his footstool.

Who are the enemies of God? Our egos, the unbelievers, the heathen within us, are the enemies of our inner God.

What is the footstool? Malkuth. If you extend the Tree of Life over your body, Malkuth relates with your feet.

So this phrase is hiding a great transformation of how the Divine in us will aid our spirit, to purify his body, which is us.

And it continues:

“Yod-Havah יהוה shall send the rod of thy strength [the spinal column] out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.”

In other words, our inner Father, our inner Spirit, our Atman, must rule against his enemies, which is the ego. Right now, he does not. Who is in charge of our house, our temple, our kingdom? God is not. God is not the one who lets us indulge in our desires, and to be afflicted with lust, fear, gluttony, and laziness. That is not God, that is Satan, our ego.

And it continues:

“Thy people [Israel shall be] willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness [sanctity, chastity, charity] from the womb [of the Divine Mother] of the morning [when Christ, the Sun, is born]: thou hast the dew of thy youth [restored innocence of Adam].

“Yod-Havah יהוה hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

“Adonai at thy right hand shall strike through מלך melek [kings] in the day of his wrath.

“He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill [the places] with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many [psychological] countries.

“He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.”

That Psalm is pure Kabbalah, and we could not explain it in a single lecture, there is too much hidden there, but this Psalm is essentially saying that if we remember God, if we align ourselves with our inner divine spirit, he will help us. Not only that, but his Inner Being will help us. Our inner Father, our Chesed “Atman” will sit on this throne, which is related with our pineal gland. With our self-remembrance, cognizance, self-awareness, by listening to our conscience, he talks to us. Through that he also receives the help of Jehovah, the most divine, in order for our Innermost to take command of the kingdom, to put his rod of strength, which is our spinal column, and to obliterate the heathen.

“Adonai at thy right hand shall strike through מלכים malachim [kings] in the day of his wrath.”

Those “kings” are not outside of us. Malachim מלכים is plural, from the Hebrew מלך, “king,” so מלכים means kings or queens, and refers to the sephirah Tiphereth in the world of Yetzirah, the world of the Angels. Melchisedek is a divine King. Yet, the demon Moloch [also spelled מלך] is also a king, but in hell.

The upright kings are related with Tiphereth, related with our human soul, in the centre of the Tree of Life, related with our heart. It is related with the fifth degree of Initiation of Major Mysteries. What this passage is hiding is volumes and volumes of initiatic knowledge in that one line.

“The day of his wrath” relates with the day of judgement, which is Shabbat, the day of “ceasing” of the ego. That day of judgement should be everyday in us. Every day, in our inner temple, we should present the unbelievers, the whoremongers, the liars, the murders, our egos that we caught in our self-observation and meditation, and place them in judgement in the presence of our inner God, saying: “God, I caught this in myself. Help me kill it, help me die in this,” and he will help us.

And it says here:

“He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill [the places] with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many [psychological] countries."

Our physical body is a microcosm of the macrocosmic Earth. Our Egos are a microcosm of ourselves. You see how beautiful nature is? Nature reflects itself in levels. We create through the use of our energies, create in our own image, just as the Elohim created us. What is our image? What do we create in our minds? Do we create beauty? Do we create virtue? Are we making a better earth? A better planet? A better world? What have we created in our minds? Look in your mind and see it. What you will see there has been created in your image. The image of your consciousness at the moment you were identified, is what is made. When you become identified with your anger, with your resentment, that energy that is processing through your body, through your lungs, through your mind, creates an ego, creates karma. That element has three brains, just like you do. That element is a miniature Earth, created in your image. Your anger, your pride, your lust, are made in your image, the image of your identification with desire. All of those elements have to die; that is the apocalypse, the personal apocalypse in us.

The Apocalypse

What will happen is this: our planet is dying, trembling, unable to sustain the weight of the karma of this humanity. Death is inevitable. Therefore, we will also die. We are already dying, not only physically, but spiritually as well, because we the ego traps the consciousness (the soul) inside of it. Since we are not destroying the ego, God will do it for us.

Naturally, physically we will all die anyway, but we do not have any cognizance of that, which is obvious because we still pursue our desires everyday and waste a lot of time on foolishness. We waste most of our lives on foolishness, because we are asleep. But if we become cognizant of the fact that we will die, that we will face our own apocalypse. In other words, there will be a point at which after these different births that we have taken, different bodies that we have taken, that the karma will be too much and we will no longer be able to sustain manifestations in physical bodies, the karma will pull us down.

This whole process of transformation that I have described of food, water, air and impressions, also happens in the earth. That transformation happens on the surface of the planet, through the processes of nature, but it also happens underneath the planet in the processes of hell. Hell is real. We carry hell in our minds, and when there is a certain critical mass that is reached, related with entropy, there is a doorway through which we pass; we enter into devolution to be purged by nature. This is part of nature; it is natural.

When a body becomes diseased, the body fights the disease. The body becomes feverish, and sends all of its elements to kill the infection. We are the infection on this planet. The planet is trying to kill the infection. The planet is shaking because the infection is killing it. That is how Melchisedek made his prophecy; he is the intelligence in the planet.

We have a choice to make. We can continue as we are, mechanically receiving impressions, food, air, water, and mechanically transforming them in accordance with our desires, and thereby creating more cause and effect, more harmful consequences for ourselves and nature. In the end, nature will take us down and purify us of all of that. This is called the second death. This is a process through which those elements are taken out of the physical realm and put into the inferior worlds, which in Kabablah are called Klipoth, Sheol, or Gehenom.

The infernal worlds (hell) exist for the consciousness to be purified—in other words, “to be burned.” Hell works in the same way that our stomach burns food and sends the impurities into the colon, and the colon through great pressure and heat and forces, purifies everything. You see the Earth has a colon too, and it is the hell of the body.

We are entering into it hell as humanity, because we are so filthy and corrupted. Nature cannot get anything good out of us anymore. We are not making the sacrifice to rise up to a new level. We are just creating garbage. Not only are we filling ourselves psychologically and physically with garbage, we are filling the planet with garbage, things that nature cannot digest, like plastic, radioactivity, pollution. So nature is going to purify itself, and the only way it can destroy all of our garbage—both physically and psychologically, is:

“...the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

If we take advantage of this knowledge, we can avoid the second death by performing it in ourselves everyday. So that “day of wrath” of the Lord is something that we should be performing daily in our meditation: to purify our minds, to watch ourselves all day and all night, and when we find impurities, to seat them on the chair of the accused and to understand them, it so that we will not repeat the mistakes. This is a process called psychological or mystical death, and is represented by John the Baptist, by Jesus, by Moses, by every initiate.

We do not enter heaven above just by believing in something, we enter Heaven by being purged of that which cannot enter heaven above. But there is a difference: when nature purifies itself through the second death, the consciousness emerges out of that process, purified, but not having grown or learned anything. The consciousness, the soul does not gain anything from that but pain. It ends where it began, with nothing changed, just thousands of years of experiences, but no understanding, no comprehension, no wisdom. On the other hand, if we perform that cleansing consciously, we acquire wisdom from all of the mistakes that we have made, we understand, we learn what is right, what is appropriate, what is wrong, what is inappropriate. We comprehend compassion, love, and we understand what anger truly is, and its devastating effects. We understand why lust is wrong and harmful. We understand why envy destroys. From that we naturally, spontaneously, become good people. In other words, we become a Master, a King, a Buddha, an Angel. That is what an Angel is. An Angel is a Human Being who has become clean, and there are many levels of Angels, throughout every level of the Tree of Life. These are Hierarchies of Beings. When you look into the Heavens in the sky, you are seeing their bodies, not their souls, not their consciousness. They can take bodies like us; all those suns, all those galaxies, all those solar systems, all those worlds, are all those that have done what we have not done. The universe is not empty of life, it is life. We are not the pinnacle of civilization. We are a backwater world, fill with vice.

Yet, if we revolt against our inner corruption, we can become radiant, resplendant, upright reflections of the light of divinity.

How to Pray to Melchisedec

The practice to ask for help from Melchisedec is quite simple. It is performed on any Saturday the thirteenth, at the thirteenth hour (one o’clock). You can perform this prayer indoors our outdoors; obivously by doing it outdoors you will be more in touch with the Earth. Lie face down (on your stomach). You will pray and meditate for one hour, so adopt a posture that will allow you to be fully relaxed for that time. You can use a pillows or cushion as needed. You can rest your head on your hands or arms. Some students prefer to adopt the shape of a star with arms and legs out. As Samael Aun Weor emphasized, the main feature of our posture is that we should be deeply relaxed, capable of totally forgetting about the physical body. If you are distracted by your posture, you will not be able to concentrate effectively.

Close your eyes and pray to your inner Being, asking to go to the temple of Melchisedec for help. Visualize this happening. The temple is in the center of the Earth. Relax, pray, concentrate, and visualize this process. Imagine talking to him. Generally, students sustain this prayer for the entire hour, meditating throughout.

Call upon the help of Melchisedec to learn about yourself. Do not call upon Melchisedec and ask him to help you get a new car, or to get a new house, because people do that, and that is not the point of the practice. The point of the practice is to get help from Melchisedec to learn about your own Earth (your self) and to learn about your relationship to his Earth, this planet, and to change. My personal recommendation is to ask for help with your ego and your karma, since they are the root of suffering.

Most importantly, one must have faith and sincere longing for inner change.

Questions and Answers

Student: So you mentioned that we are in nature and nature is in us, now, we are in the city, so the city is within us, can you talk more about that?

Instructor: Everything that is outside of us is a reflection of what we are inside. In the book Revolutionary Psychology Master Samael stated:

“All things, all circumstances that occur outside ourselves, on the stage of this world, are exclusively the reflection of what we carry within.

“With good reason then, we can solemnly declare that the “exterior is the reflection of the interior.”

We make the mistake of thinking, “If I can change my exterior life, I will be happy,” but we do not realize that everything that is happening around us is because of what we are inside. The city around us was made by us. God did not make it. AIf we look in our cities, they are not ideal places to live, in fact, they are quite corrupt. They are like sores or wounds on the Earth. If you look at Earth as a scientist from a distance, and see how radiant and lovely it is, but then you go in close and look at a city, it is horrible. It is like a boil or a bleeding wound on the Earth from which is oozing pollution and garbage; nothing good is coming out of it.

Let me tell you a little secret too: other planets do not have cities. We do. Let me explain a little bit about that, because it is something that I did not touch today as it is a big topic, which is more about entropy. It is very hard to put into words, but if you understand what I was saying about transformation, to rise, for us to sustain the body and remain healthy, we have to eat good food. If it is bad food, it will kill us, we know that. If you eat cardboard, you will die. But if you eat fruits and vegetables that are good for you, your body will flourish, grow, and get healthy, especially as a child. If you eat all garbage as a kid, you are going to be sick and weak your whole life. If you eat really good food, your body will grow in a very healthy way. The same is true spiritually. And the same is true on the planet.

Entropy means nature tends towards homogeny unless superior forces act, and raise that system up. It means that if you take a vessel of boiling water and a vessel of cold water and you combine them, just mix them up, they will equalize each other, they will average out into blandness. They will become equalized, the same: homogenized. No diversity, no growth, and thus, no possibility for change.

The same is true if you take salt and flour and mix them, they will combine, and cannot separate themselves. That is what happens with a desert, that is what happened with the Moon. All of the physical, psychological, and spiritual forces were being mixed, but without superior forces (intelligence, Binah) being applied. So everything became equalized, homogenized: everything died.

In the example of the salt and flour, if you mix them consciously, with intelligence you can make bread, if you apply heat, if you add water. If you add elements and produce a transformation, you can make something good. But if you do not do it intelligently, you will make nothing, just a mess, something inedible. The same is true in nature, as a whole.

Look at our world: everywhere we look we see that all the cities are gradually becoming the same, with the same malls, buildings and architecture, the same stores and shops, the same foods, the same products, music, art, the same culture, the same psychology. The distinctions and diversity we once had is being mixed without intelligent, conscious guidance, but only randomly, chaotically, resulting in blandness, a homogenization of culture. It is a sign of the end.

Humanity as a whole is not living intelligently. Humanity is living without consciousness. We are completely asleep, ruled by desires who only want to feed themselves—in other words, there is no superior sacrifice being made. There are no virtues being cultivated. We are not eating good things, we are not thinking good things, we are not acting in good ways. Our primary interest is in satisfying our insatiable desires. The decline of our planet, resources, and culture is the cost. So, as a result the entire society is in decline. Cities are in decline. Infrastructure is weakening. Countries are in decline; economies are weakening, polarizing. Social structures are fractured, chaotic, disorganized. What is the end result of such a process of homogenization? A desert, an place where weverything has been reduced to zero, lacking cognizant order.

Order is created consciously, cognizantly, through the sacrifice of superior elements, to nourish a good growth.

From where is a golden age going to come on this planet? Who on this planet is living with humility, chastity, compassion, peace? We are not, neither as individuals nor as countries.

You cannot create peace with nuclear bombs. If a bomb is present, everyone becomes anxious. Only in the absence of weapons can there be peace. The presence of weapons implies their potential use, which stimulates fear. There is no peace in the presence of fear.

You cannot create peace by waging war.

You cannot create sustainable wealth through theft, by lying to people, and misleading them, the way all companies and governments do.

You cannot create equanimity and health through propagation of garbage.

Let us be sincere, and investigate not only our society but our mind. That is where everything comes from: us.

This society exists because of how we are as a mind, as individuals. If we, as individuals allow ourselves to waste so much time and energy on garbage, to buy things we do not need, to do things we do not need, to spend our time on things that are harmful for ourselves and others, how can we expect society to be any different?

We all go along with the flow of society, which is to indulge in negativity. We laugh at virtue. We see honesty and humility as signs of weakness. We see violence and bullying as signs of strength. Do you not believe that? Then observe what we love to see in movies and television. We do not like to watch humble, sweet, kind people. We like violent, sarcastic, cruel people. We worship them. We elevate them in society. The more cunning and mocking a person is, the more we respect them.

When someone is humble or honest, we look down on them. When someone is sincere, when someone does a good thing, we might clap politely, but inside we laugh at them and look down on them. When someone is sarcastic and cruel, we like it. If you do not believe me, watch television, watch your co-workers, look at everyone’s behavior. You will see it: just below the surface. we indulge in negativity. When anything positive happens we feel guilt, and we do not want to be associated with it, because our friends are all celebrating negativity, and we want to be accepted. We want to be a part of our community. The end result is entropy, the decay of order.

The cities that we live in are not getting easier to live in, they are getting more complicated, year after year. That is because the order that sustains health and peace is in decline. It is order that produces a civilization, not disorder.

It is harder to travel, it is harder to live, harder to make a living, harder to eat, and this is not just in one place, it is on the entire planet. You cannot escape it and it is getting worse.

So let us throw out all of these foolish, Utopian lies about a “Golden Age” that will come “out of nowhere.” The Golden Age will not come from the pride and anger we protect in ourselves.

The Golden Age has to be created, but it is going to come through death. Firstly, it will come through our own psychological death.

Melchisedec pointed out something that the Revelation and that all the scriptures point out: there will be a new earth, there will be a new age, a new race, a Golden Age, but it will not come out of this filthy humanity. You cannot take your lust there. You cannot take your computer, your car, you cannot take the internet. I am sorry. I know you love it, but there will be no internet in the Golden Age. It will be a totally different civilization on a totally different level, and the only way to gain entrance to it will be to have your ego dying.

“In order to pass to a superior Level of Being, it is necessary to cease being what one is.”

Over the next few hundred years, this Earth will pass through a tremendous revolution. Samael Aun Weor gave many lectures and wrote many books explaining about all of the aspects of this, and it is very complicated. It is the planet, it is nature, it is very complicated. There are a lot of things that are happening and that will happen and they are not pleasant. Nonetheless the Divine is very wise and compassionate, and those who deserve it, who earn it, will be sustained. We can earn that place, we can earn the right to go onwards, to help humanity, to help reduce suffering, and to help bring in a better age for humanity, but we have to earn that. It is not given for free. It is given when you deserve it. When you are purifying yourself, and when God, in you, says, “Yes, you my child are doing it.” Then you can earn that.

Audience: How can we make a serious commitment to the Gnostic teachings and get help from our Being and keep that commitment?

Instructor: The best way to get help is to work on yourself, everyday—that is it, and that work is not exterior, it is interior. It is psychological; it is spiritual. It is quite simply, to learn the three factors that produce the revolution.

The first factor we need to have in action in our daily lives is psychological death. This achieved by:

  • Gathering information about the psychological elements within us that are causes of suffering
  • Comprehending the element to its core
  • Eliminating it

For this to occur, you have to learn to constantly watch your mind, your actions, to learn about your three brains, to learn about your psychology, in detail. This is no accomplished by reading books, or listening to opinions, but by watching yourself. It is a constant observation of what you think, what you feel, what you see. The minute you think, “Now I get it,” you are thinking, not observing. Do not make that mistake. The self is a very rich, profound volume, it is deep; anytime you think you see something, you are only seeing one piece, and the mind has many levels. This is why we have to meditate; you cannot see it all with your physical eyes. You have to meditate.

The second factor we need to have in action in our daily lives is birth, which is how to create the soul, how to nourish the consciousness. This is a process of ingesting the highest quality elements we can acquire so that our soul can be born. Naturally, most of that is found hidden in our sexual organs, so we have to learn to retain and transform those energies, Yet birth is also driven by transformation in all three levels of our inner factory. It is to take in all of the good, useful, and nourishing elements that we can in order to sustain our soul. For this, we have to stop eating garbage, not only physically but psychologically. We know there are things that we do that we should not do, so stop. We have to adopt beneficial actions, and abandon harmful ones.

There is no more time. We do not have lifetimes any more. Humanity moves in waves, like every other creature in nature. This wave of humanity is cresting. We have a limited window of opportunity for all of these conscious elements to enter in physical bodies and reach their goal, and if they do not, their wave is absorbed back into the ocean, and our wave is being absorbed.

We are out of time. Do not assume you are going to have another body; you probably will not. I know in my case I do not. That is why I am so zealous. I know from my own personal experience, out of my body, that this is it; if I do not do it now, I am going into the second death. There is no way for me to negotiate that anymore. So, I can tell you from my own experience, this is absolutely true and I know it. Some people have asked me, “Why are you so zealous, like a preacher?” That is why: because I know our time is up.

Do not assume you have time left to do the spiritual work later; you do not. You do not even know how long you have in this body. Does anyone here know when they are going to die? I do not. So make the best use of everyday. Die psychologically in yourself, work on your ego, be born in yourself. Cultivate good behaviors, cultivate your inner spirit. Feed your consciousness with good things, study the scriptures, study yourself. Study nature; nature is a great teacher.

The third factor is sacrifice: renounce your desires, and instead, help other people. Do not live your whole life just feeding your desires. All of the great masters do not do anything for themselves, they do everything for others. This is what we have to learn, this is what creates a Golden Age. When we serve sincerely and honestly, to give to others, this is the greatest joy. It is not just a stale Hallmark phrase, that ‚”Giving is better than receiving.” It is a fact. Giving is better. We are focused on receiving, we always want to get and get and get, everything we do we think what are we going to get out of it. Learn to become conscious. Always ask yourself, “What can I give? What can I do? How can I contribute?” That is what the Spirit in us wants.

Those Three Factors are what put us in a position to receive help, not only from our Inner God, but from other Masters, Angels, Beings who are here to help us. We are not alone here. I know the news and this lecture and the prophecies are very painful to hear; I feel that pain. When I read about the coming cataclysms and I watch news and see the earthquakes and tsunamis, and I see the starvation and the poverty and all of the suffering on this planet, it hurts. But remember: we are not alone. Remember your Divine Mother. Remember your Inner Being, continually. They will help you.

You can get help from the Gnostic Church, which is not in a physical place, it is also inside. To appeal for help from the Gnostic Church does not require you belong to one school or another, or follow one teacher or another, you earn that help in yourself, spiritually and psychologically. You can be completely alone, out in the forest or the desert, and enter the Gnostic Church. You do not have to come here, or go to any other place, the real church has nothing to do with anything physical, it is psychological.

The Gnostic Church is not just “Christian.” The Gnostic Church is the union of all awakened beings, whether we call them Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, or whatever, they all over the world, trying to help us. Moreover—and what is most surprising to all of us—is that there are a lot of people from other planets trying to help us, but we do not want their help; we shoot missiles at them. They are trying to help us, and they will help you if you ask for their help.

So, the most serious important thing is work daily in these three factors: Death, Birth and Sacrifice.

Do not let a day go by without them. Each day is a mirror of your life. Each day reflects the entirety of your life. If you spend your whole day in foolishness, you are spending your whole life that way. Do what you can to spend some time everyday working on yourself, and gradually work to increase that, and you will get a lot of benefit.

Student: Where do you read about the practice for Saturday the thirteenth?

Other Instructor: We are going to do it.

Instructor: As far as I know it is not written. Students here will do that practice today.

Student: I guess, the way I am kind of working this in my mind is that there is going to be an apocalypse and how you are explaining it is that if we are successful with all of this work then the apocalypse will happen psychologically and if we fail then it will happen physically? Is it going to happen either way? Or will it just happen in our Earth, when we kill our egos? ...and then if we fail...

Instuctor: There are different levels; remember the macrocosm and microcosm.

This planet Earth will pass through an apocalypse no matter what, it is unavoidable; in fact, it is necessary. It was already decided: it is going to happen, and the reason is that God will not let humanity get worse. God is not going to let humanity spread this infection anywhere else in the universe, which is what we are trying to do, we are trying to build rockets to take our infection to other planets, to do like we did with Colombus, Cortés and all of those other people who went to other countries and spread their infections and killed millions of people. We want to do the same thing again now with other planets. We want to take Coca-Cola, McDonalds, pornography, and nuclear weapons to Mars and Venus. That will not happen. It will not be allowed.

The Armageddon, the end of this planet, is going to happen. No one knows when, but we are still approaching it.

What is undecided yet is our personal apocalypse. Will we go along mechanically with humanity and pass through that Armageddon with them and just be a victim of the circumstances and be recycled by nature? Yes, we will, if we do not work on ourselves. But we can escape that external Armageddon if we work seriously to produce the spiritual Armageddon in ourselves psychologically, in other words, if the impure elements in us die. Then we will be extracted from the physical apocalypse. There will be a group who will be removed. All the human beings on this planet who have earned the right will be taken out. That is what happened with Noah’s Ark.

Noah’s Ark is the story of Atlantis. Atlantis passed through an Armageddon just like we are. The Selenites, on the Moon, passed through an Armageddon, just like we are. In every case, those who earned the right to be taken away are taken. Noah’s Ark represents that. Noah took his sons—his spiritual sons, his disciples—and they went into the Ark (the Arcanum, the secret teachings) and they were taken out. At that time in Atlantis those were cosmic ships, not boats. The Atlanteans had a much more developed civilization than we do. We are much more degenerated than they were. So, in the same way, there will be a group taken from this planet when the time comes. I doubt it will not be with our technology because we are not even close to having what the Atlanteans had developed. Noah (who is actually Vaivasvata Manu) stole Atlantean ships to take his people out. I do not think we will be able to do that here. I do not think the Earthlings will develop ships capable of escaping this planet in time. I could be wrong, I really do not know. It may be that other humanities will take the select few out; we will see.

Nonetheless, we have to understand the Armageddon. The physical apocalypse on the planet is going to happen. Whether we pass through it is up to us. You can learn more about that whole process, about the apocalypse and the selection of souls in “The Aquarian Message” and in “The Doomed Aryan Race” by Samael Aun Weor, and also in lectures called “The Great Selections of Souls” and “The End of the Kali Yuga.”
