Augoeides

Like many terms from esotericism, the word augoeides has been misued and misunderstood. The true meaning is obvious when you know its root words. Augoeides is derived from Greek Αὐγή auge, "sun beam, daylight, dawn" (which is Apollo, Christ) and εἶδος eidos "form, shape." The sun always symbolizes Christ, Apollo, Avalokitesvara, etc. Therefore, augoeides is "the luminous body of Christ." This body can only be known by those who have incarnated Christ: bodhisattvas on the straight path. Since few enter that path, few have experience the true nature of augoeides, thus the confusion in the use of the word.

Christ is the Solar Logos (multiple, perfect unity). Christ is the eternal, great breath, profound, immeasurable, which emanates from the ineffable bosom of the Absolute.

Christ is our eternal, incessant breath, profoundly unknown to himself. He is our divine Augoeides.

Christ is the purest, ineffable, and terribly divine ray that shone as lightning on the face of Moses, there... within the solemn mystery of Mount Nebo. - Samael Aun Weor, The Aquarian Message

"There are within (any resurrected master) two souls or natures, the higher (Neshamoth Chayim נשמת חיים) and the lower (Nephesh Chaiah נפש חיה), blended and united together by the mysterious Augoeides (the luminous body of Christ), that corresponds to the upper triad of the Sephiroth (Kether, Chokmah, Binah) in the decenary of the human constitution." - Zohar
